MANILA, Philippines – SM Mall of Asia Arena, thru its ticketing network SM Tickets, will start selling tickets to the much-anticipated FIBA Asia tournament, the qualifiers for the FIBA World Basketball Championships, starting tomorrow (Thursday).
Ticket prices, however, have yet to be released by SM Tickets pending the go-signal from Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas. But Chot Reyes, head coach of the Gilas Pilipinas, posted on his Twitter account (@coachot) late Wednesday the 'reasonable ticket prices'.
"Ang pagkakaalam ko P100 GA (general admission), P175 Upper Box and P500 Lower Box - for 3 games na yun. I hope I'm not mistaken," Reyes said.
One of the SM Tickets customer care representatives confirmed to Philstar.com that each ticket will be good for three games since tickets will be classified into two – the morning games and the evening games.
Tickets will be available both online (www.smstickets.com
) and their outlets starting at 10 am tomorrow.
The same customer care representative also added that only the tickets from Aug. 1 to 3 will be made available tomorrow.
Gilas Pilipinas will play Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Chinese Taipei in that order in the tournament’s initial group stages.
