SM Hypermarket opens in Mandaluyong

SM Hypermarket is located along Shaw Blvd. (across JRU), Mandaluyong City.


MANILA, Philippines – Residents of Mandaluyong and Manila can now enjoy a one-stop shopping convenience that’s closer to home with the recent opening of the SM Hypermarket along Shaw Boulevard, just across Jose Rizal University.

Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos, SM founder and chairman Henry Sy, Sr. and Felicidad Sy led the ribbon-cutting ceremony. SM Supermarket president Herbert T. Sy, SM Investments vice chairman Tessie Sy-Coson, SM Hypermarket EVP Robert Kwee, Monsingor Bong Lo, and Fr. Jesus Prol also joined them.

Top executives from some of the country’s well-loved brands also graced the occasion: Unilever Food Solutions managing director, Zafer Unver and Unilever chairman, Fernando Fernandez, owner of Diamantina Beef, Greg Davis. It was also a star-studded occasion, with the presence of Marian Rivera, Kim Chiu, and Jodi Sta. Maria.

The 14,415-square-meter SM Hypermarket is the chain’s 14th branch and the its first stand-alone store. With its modern interiors, color-coded sections, and ample parking; it will give customers the ultimate shopping experience.

Since it opened its first store in Sucat in 2001, the SM Hypermarket has been successful in creating the convenience of a first-rate indoor wet market, as well as a food and general merchandise store to provide one-stop shopping convenience for customers everywhere. SM Hypermarket values customer delight, supplier satisfaction, and employee challenge. It also aims to be the place to shop, the place to sell, and the place to work.

While shopping at the new SM Hypermarket, customers can also enjoy eating out fun at food outlets like the Mang Inasal, Julie’s Bakeshop, Zagu, Sizzling Plate Express, Khaleb Shawarma, Paotsin, Jose’s Goto, RBX, Hong Kong Style Noodle, Nutri Bunch Pizza and Pasta Bar, Hotdog Onsticks, and Hen Lin. They can also drop by David’s For Rever for a new look, Ideal Vision Center for their eyewear, Watsons for their beauty and pharmacy requirements, and Just Gifts and Japan Home Center for more shopping fun.

Check out the newly opened SM Hypermarket along Shaw Boulevard. Other outlets are located at the SM Mall of Asia, the Block at SM City North-EDSA, as well as the SM Supermalls in Sucat, Taytay, Bicutan, Marilao, Clark, Baliwag, and Rosales. These are also located at SM Supercenters in Pasig, Valenzuela, Muntinlupa, and Molino.
