SM holds seminar on breastfeeding Thursday, August 23, 2012
SunStar SM CITY Cagayan de Oro in partnership with the Department of Health will hold a seminar on the importance of breastfeeding today, August 22, 10 a.m. at the Atrium, Ground Floor.
This year’s theme is “For mommy, for baby, for the community, breastfeeding is beautiful!”

The activity aims to continuously support mothers who have chosen to breastfeed their babies and at the same time be a venue to educate the vast and countless benefits of breastfeeding to mothers and the whole community.
SM’s Committee on Breastfeeding bagged the Anvil Award of Merit for its programs, projects and advocacy that promotes breastfeeding, proper health and nutrition for breastfeeding mothers and babies during the 45th Anvil Awards in 2009.
As part of its advocacy, there are now 42 breastfeeding stations in SM malls nationwide, which have served more than 170,000 breastfeeding mothers.
For Cagayan de Oro, the breastfeeding station is located at the second floor (beside the SM Administration Office). (PR)
