NASUGBU, Batangas – Reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and 16 possible successors of the coveted crown experienced Batangueño hospitality when they were presented with a banquet here during sunset.

After a photo shoot by the beach, the girls were welcomed to an open-air dining setup complete with fire dancers and live music.

Miss Angola, Miss Portugal, and Miss Bolivia were caught dancing to the lively beats as they wait for their turns to have more photos and videos taken along the shore.

“What you’re witnessing is one of the reasons why Filipinos are lovers of nature… We are proud to share these with you in hopes that you too will love it as much as we do,” LCS chief Luis Chavit Singson told the candidates.

The candidates feasted on at least 20 entrees including grilled scallops, roasted chicken, beef kabab, and marinated salmon.

The girls ended the night with a toast and an invitation from tourism officials to return to the country to enjoy more sights, sounds, and sumptuous meals only the Philippines could offer.

Here’s a look at the party along Hamilo coast.
