Five SM supermalls were recently honored with special awards for their outstanding achievements in energy efficiency and conservation.

SM City North Edsa, SM City Sucat, SM City Sta. Mesa and SM City Manila received top honors in the Don Emilio Abello Awards for Energy Efficiency and Conservation Best Practices for Buildings.

The five SM Supermalls were recognized for their energy savings that amounted to about P38 million. The award also cited SM’s Teodor S. Bautista, Charles L. Singson and Teddy G. Mueca as outstanding energy managers for their contribution in improving practices toward the efficient use of energy.
