THE SM Supermalls recently signed a memorandum of agreement with the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) for the opening of PhilHealth Express satellite offices at the Government Services Centers in selected SM malls.
The MOA reinforces the partnership between SM Supermalls and the department of Health and PhilHealth in bringing its services closer to the public through easily accessible and convenient sites. This is part of PhilHealth’s effort in ensuring that all Filipinos have access to quality health-care services.
The PhilHealth Express sites will offer membership services that include PhilHealth identification number, ID and member data record generation, member data amendment, eligibility check (such as query for benefit availment and sufficient regularity of payments), and membership and contribution records verification.
An information kiosk will also be setup for walk-in and phone inquiries.
In 2013 the first batch of PhilHealth Express satellite offices will be opened in SM City Cebu, SM City Pampanga and SM City Manila, and more are being planned.
PhilHealth President and Chief Executive Officer Alexander Padilla and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon Aristoza recently formalized the partnership with SM Supermalls President Annie Garcia and Vice President for Operations Liza Silerio at the SM Prime Corporate Offices at the Mall of Asia Arena Annex Building in Pasay City. SM Medical Director Dr. Eduardo Co and VP for PhilHealth Regional Office-National Capital Region Dr. Shirley Domingo joined them in the event together with their respective teams from the SM Supermalls and PhilHealth.
