June 11, 2013– SM City Cebu and chocolate expert Ralfe Gourmet Chocolate Boutique unveiled a giant Philippine flag created using 10,000 assorted tablea chocolates at the Northwing Atrium. The centrepiece measures 12ft x 20ft.

The Cebu Normal University Chorale opened the event with Filipino music. Raquel Choa and her family thanked the Cebuanos for supporting their tablea business turned chocolate boutique which she considers a “hidden treasure.”

The unveiling of the Philippine Independence Day centrepiece was led by the president and founder of Ralfe Gourmet Chocolate Boutique Raquel Choa and husband Alfred, business partner Edu Pantino, assistant regional director for research and regulatory services Joel Elumba, and SM Prime Holdings vice president Marissa Fernan.

The 10,000 variety of chocolates include chocolate pralines with whole cacao nib, alfajores, tablea rice crispies, chocolate sticks, and tablea singles.

Shoppers can actually get to taste the chocolates on June 12. One must present a P100 single or accumulated receipt from any shops in SM City Cebu with dates beginning June 8 to 12. Shoppers can claim the chocolates on June 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Northwing Atrium.
