CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela, September 24 (PIA) – The SM City shopping mall here has organized a gadget literacy tutorial, through its annual ‘oldies but techies’ program to keep senior citizens connected to the modern world.
Krystal Gayle Agbulig, SM Cauayan city public relations officer, said the tutorial program, started in 2011 as ‘High Tech si Lolo at Lola Ko’ now known as ‘Oldies but Techies’, aims to upgrade the skills and knowledge of senior citizens on basic computer operations, internet surfing and many more.
She said the literacy program, which is implemented in all SM City’s supermalls nationwide, is one of the programs for senior citizens in partnership with its tenants.
“We really want to nurture our grandparents from the moment they enter our malls until even they leave,” Abulug said.
Earlier, the mall has granted free movie pass for seniors in the city and other social programs benefiting the marginalized and disadvantaged sectors here. (ALM/MGE – PIA2/Isabela)
