This year’s Korean Film Festival will start its run from Sept. 17 to 21 at SM City Clark in Pampanga.
Organized by the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in cooperation with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), the Film Cultural Exchange Program, Korea Copyright Commission, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), SM Cinema and SM Lifestyle Entertainment, the festival will also have screenings at SM City Davao on Sept. 24 to 28; SM City Cebu on Oct. 1 to 5; and SM Megamall in Mandaluyong on Oct. 8 to 12.
The festival will feature seven films including “Company Man,” “Hide and Seek,” “Hwayi,” “King of Pigs,” “All About My Wife,” “Man on the Edge” and “My Paparotti.”
The “Company Man” stars actor So Ji-sub as an assassin who quits his job after falling in love with a woman.
Actor Son Hyun-joo stars in “Hide and Seek,” about an insomniac whose brother has gone missing.
Child star Yeon Jin-goo headlines “Hwayi,” a film about a child raised by criminals.
The animated film “King of Pigs” is about bullying.
“All About My Wife” stars Lee Sun-kyun and Im Soo-jung. It deals with marital strife.
Park Shin-hyang stars in “Man on the Edge,” about a criminal who moonlights as a fortune teller.
“My Paparotti” is about a local teen gangster with musical dreams.
