MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBNmobile has partnered with SM Supermalls in the distribution of SIM cards in all SM malls across the country.

With the partnership, ABS-CBNmobile SIMs will now be available in all SM malls as ABS-CBN boosts its efforts in strengthening its presence in the country.

“SM is the biggest shopping mall chain in the country and this will certainly help ABS-CBNmobile reach out to more Filipinos much more easily,” said Chito Franco, head of National Sales and Distribution of ABS-CBN Convergence Inc.

Currently, SM has 49 malls nationwide.

ABS-CBNmobile has also entered a partnership with Telepreneur Corp. (TPC), a multi-level marketer that mainly offers mobile phone loading services through its members nationwide.

“With TPC, we also plan to focus on some pilot areas to see how we can make our presence felt in areas that are far from malls, or areas that are a bit harder to reach,” said Franco.

These pilot areas include areas outside Metro Manila.

TPC president Lorenzo Rellosa said TPC’s growing membership can help ABS-CBNmobile in spreading word about its load services.

“We have almost 530,000 members. There are many whose families benefited from being part of TPC,” he said.

ABS-CBNmobile, which was launched late last year, has about 750,000 subscribers as of August. It is targeting to reach 1 million subscribers before year-end.

ABS-CBNmobile has allowed subscribers to catch up on their favorite Kapamilya shows via mobile internet or WiFi using their smartphones equipped with the iWant TV app, which can be downloaded free from the App Store and Google Play.

“Aside from that, we also produce shows exclusive only to ABS-CBNmobile subscribers. They can avail of load to call and text, too. Our new partnership with Kakao Talk even allows for free and unlimited calling and chatting,” said Nandy Villar, marketing head of ABS-CBN Convergence Inc.

ABS-CBNmobile, through its partnership with Kakao Talk, offers free call and chat for free until October 7 using the Kakao Talk app.

ABS-CBNmobile also released “Team Gonzaga,” an exclusive reality show offered on mobile, which features Kapamilya star Toni Gonzaga and her sister Alex.

Three shows of Korean star Lee Min Ho—“The Heirs,” “Boys Over Flowers,” and “The Faith”—will also be shown only on ABS-CBNmobile for one month.

ABS-CBN Corp. is the parent company of ABS-CBNnews.com and ABS-CBNmobile.
