Following the donation of four school buildings in Metro Manila, SM Prime Holdings through the SM Foundation and Deutsche Bank AG Manila recently turned over a one-storey, four-classroom building to the Florentino Joya Elementary School in Barangay Biga, Tanza, Cavite.

Children International also donated textbooks and workbooks to School Principal Antonne Bonina.

Deutsche Bank employees on weekends joined hands to paint the walls of classrooms with murals depicting moral values.

Each classroom is provided armchairs, teacher’s table and chair, wall fans and blackboard including a toilet.

Florentino Joya is the ninth beneficiary of SMFI and Deutsche Bank after Llano Elementary School in Caloocan City, Bacoor National High School in Cavite, Sitio Tapayan Elementary School and M.I. Santos Memorial High School both in Taytay, D. Tuason Elementary School in Quezon City, San Manuel Elementary in San Jose del Monte City, Tanza Elementary School in Navotas City, and Pateros Elementary School.

At the turnover rites were Schools Division Assistant Superintendent Dr. Editha M. Atendido, Barangay Biga Chairman Raymundo Joya, Councilor Alexis B. Dones, SMF executive directors Debbie Sy and Linda Atayde, Deutsche Bank AG Manila Chief Operating Officer Rhoneil S. Fajardo and SM Rosario Mall Manage Roxanne A. Pangilinan.
