Architectural landmarks will soon rise in the Mall of Asia complex as the FiveE-ComCenter, the latest project of SM Prime Commercial Properties Group (CPG). It will continue in the tradition of the E-comCenters featuring innovative and modern architecture mostly characterized by rectilinear design.
FiveE-Com is the third in a series of six iconic office buildings envisioned to comprise the premier business hub of SM Prime in its flagship master planned estate, the 67-hectare Mall of Asia Complex (MOAC) in Pasay City.
Last May 5, SM Prime Commercial Properties Group led by Dave L. Rafael (senior vice president) and Engr. Robert Jose Castillo, president of EEI Corporation, conducted the topping off ceremony. The event began with the ceremonial mass followed by messages from Engr. Nilo Gison, SAVP, Project Development, SM Prime CPG), Engr. Castillo and Rafael.
Designed by Arquitectonica, a Miami-based architectural firm known for its stylish patterns, complex façade accents, and graphic structural forms, the firm is a world-renowned, multi-awarded company with designs ranging from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Westin Times Square Hotel in New York City, to other countries such as the Lima Marriot Hotel in Peru, Riviera Twin Star Square in Shanghai, and the Cyberport in Hong Kong.
The firm also designed premiere projects in the Philippines such as the SM Mall of Asia, SM Aura Premier in Bonifacio Global City, SMX Convention Center, and the SM Megamall expansion and renovation, among others.
FiveE-ComCenter is a 15- level office building with a gross floor area of 125,716 sqm and approximately 85,000 sqm of leasable area. Potential tenants can look forward to small office spaces as well as large floor plates of up to 7,000 sqm. FiveE-com’s air-conditioning system was designed differently from its predecessors in a variable refrigerant volume (VRV) format in order to provide tenants flexibility depending on their operating hours.
The project will also feature basement parking, a pioneering feature among the E-com buildings. Primarily designed for business process outsourcing firms and other similar high-technology companies, it will also cater to other types of companies.
The open-air fourth floor podium called FiveE-com-Prism Plaza offers a relaxing, scenic view of the historical Manila Bay to unwind from the busy atmosphere of the workplace. There will be two covered bridgeways interconnecting FiveE-com to its adjacent E-com buildings, which leads to the Mall of Asia located at the second floor and fourth floor levels.
FiveE-com will continue to enjoy SM Prime CPG’s reliable and round-the-clock security, utilities, and power. The E-com hub’s location within MOAC offers accessible public transportation routes such as the MRT, LRT and bus lines traversing the main EDSA thoroughfare. A ferry terminal in MOAC also provides future opportunities for sea travel. MOAC is also only a few minutes away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport within Pasay City.
FiveE-com is scheduled for completion first quarter of 2015.
