SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SMPH.PH), operator of the Philippines’ largest shopping mall chain, said Wednesday it opened the third annex of its retail complex last week in Pampanga, a province north of Manila.

The company said the new annex building will add 17,439 square meters to its network of 28 shopping malls, whose combined gross floor area previously stood at 3.6 million square meters.

This year, SM Prime will open two more shopping malls within metropolitan Manila and an expansion phase at the SM Mall of Asia, its largest shopping complex. It’s also expanding its shopping mall in the central Philippine island of Cebu.
