SM Prime Holdings, Inc. the country’s largest mall owner and operator, announced on Wednesday that it recently opened the third annex of its largest mall in Central Luzon.

In a statement, SM Prime said the annex has added 17,439 square meter of gross floor area to SM City, Pampanga, bringing the total to 128,089 square meters, and total building length to almost 1 kilometer.

Our combined expansion in Pampanga is testimony to its strong local economy. Its proximity to Metro Manila and
Subic, combined with its international airport in Clark Special Economic Zone makes the province regional gateway and hub.�? Hans Sy, the company’s president said.

Besides housing a number of restaurants and retail stores, the new annex would also provide additional 9,700 square meters for a call center to be established next year.

By the end of the year, SM Prime is set to open three other malls. It is expanding
Cebu  facility.
