The GreenBag is the two giants response to the challenge of Ecological Solid Waste Management Act which passed in 2000. by using and reusing the GreenBag, instead of the usual plastic bags, to carry their purchases, consumers help minimize overall pollution and the health risks posed by landfills.
Each bag is made of recyclable and rewashable material, is equivalent to two regular-sized plastic bags, and can be used for two years’ worth of weekly grocery trips. SM consumers who are SM Advantage Club members even earn rewards as they get two additional points every time they use a GreenBag.
SM Supermarket sales people should tell shoppers who are not aware of the reusable bag campaign what the GreenBag is all about.
