CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela , March 2 (PIA) – – At least 30 masterpieces of the Isabela Young Artists were showcased in an art exhibit organized by SM City here in celebration of the National Arts Month.
 
Kristal Gayle Agbulig, SM City Cauayan Public Relations Officer, said the Isabela Young Artists is a group of young Isabelinos who are mastering in painting works.
 
“Their art works depict the provincial life and culture of the people in the province,” she said.
 
Earlier, the said group also represented the province of Isabela on a National Art Exhibit.
 
Among the selected paintings displayed in the mall illustrate farming techniques and bountiful harvest of the farmers in the province.
 
Agbulig said that the paintings of old churches and heritage of the province are also among of the subject of the paintings which are displayed inside the mall premises.
 
She said the SM malls nationwide celebrates the National Arts Month during February pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No.683 issued in 1991.
 
She said locally, celebration in each mall, aims to showcase and enrich the local arts and culture of the province where it is located and to provide a platform to the young artists to show their talents.
 
Agbulig added that this year also marks the 30th Anniversary of SM Supermalls, thus, SM City Cauayan chose only thirty best masterpieces to signify thirty years of fun shopping. (ALM/MGE/PIA-2 Isabela)
