Cebu: THE “Donate A Book” project of SM Foundation will be launched once again to collect books from shoppers, tenants, schools and publishing companies.
The books raised from the project will be distributed to the public elementary and high schools, barangay libraries and day care centers nationwide.
In SM City Cebu, the booth will be situated at the lower ground floor of the main mall (fronting Country Crafts and Air Philippines).
The project, which will run from April 22 to May 21, aims to develop interest in reading, improve functional literacy and enhance comprehension, communication and creative skills among the students and out-of-school youth.
The project is in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Catholic Association of the Philippines, Batobalani Foundation, Cebu Daily News, SunStar Cebu, The Freeman, dyLA AM and GMA 7.
