PHILIPPINE Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) president and CEO Dr. Key B. Aquino graced the grand launching of SM’s Global Pinoy Center at the SM City North Edsa as guest speaker.

In his message, Aquino underscored the timely opening of Global Pinoy Centers (GPC), coinciding with PhilHealth’s celebration of 15 years of serving the health insurance needs of Filipinos here and abroad. ‘We share in SM Malls’ commitment to hardworking global Pinoys who have sacrificed a lot of things just to secure the future of their families, which in the process also boosts our country’s growth’ he said.

He said that the opening of SM GPCs gives Phil Health an opportunity to extend its services to OFWs who opt to continue their Phil Health coverage since GPC services include information dissemination.

The fifth to be launched so far by SM, the GPCs cater to OFWs and their kin who have been helping in the growth and development of the country. Once issued their personalized Global Pinoy cards, beneficiaries are entitled to rewards and privileges as well as access to various services such as remittance, foreign exchange, use of internet facilities for free voice or video calls, among others.
