Al Gore will be in Manila on April 30, 2010 at the SMX Convention Center in the SM Mall of Asia Complex.

“An Inconvenient Truth,” has won critical and box-office acclaim, and is considered one of the top documentary films of all time.

Al Gore will be presenting in Manila the Asian version of the thought-provoking multimedia presentation that tackled the threat posed by climate change.

Gore will do so in an event titled “Al Gore: The Leader As Environment Steward,” which will be held on April 30, 2010 at the SMX Convention Center in the SM Mall of Asia Complex.

‘We have always been committed to environmental preservation. Beyond our many environmental programs, we feel that we can further spread the advocacy by having more people learn about this global problem and how it impacts each and every one of us,’ SM Prime Holdings President Hans Sy said in a statement.

‘This is why we are bringing in the world’s most influential authority on climate change. We want the urgency of his message to be heard by Filipino leaders, as well as by Filipinos in general,’ he added.

The former US vice president is also scheduled to keynote the Leadership Conference Series 3, a round of lectures organized for top leaders from the academe, business, government and non-government sectors to learn from the experience and expertise of global leaders.

Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for “An Inconvenient Truth.”

For his feats, Gore was named as a runner-up for Time Magazine’s 2007 Person of the Year.

Last year, Gore won a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for his book “An Inconvenient Truth: The Planetary Emergency of Global Warming and What We Can Do About It.”

Gore, who served as the 45th Vice President of the United States from 1993 to 2001 under President Bill Clinton, has just published another tome, “Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis,” which put forward available measures that will help resolve the climate crisis.
