December 30, 2014 – EMPLOYEES of SM City Cebu and SM City Consolacion conducted a gift-giving activity to over 60 children of maintenance and security personnel on Dec. 22.
The program, ChriSMiles, is the volunteerism initiative of SM employees in various malls nationwide. It aims to provide a venue for employees to voluntarily share their time and resources to help the needy and find the deeper meaning of Christmas through giving back to others their life’s blessings.
In SM City Cebu, 45 children were treated to fun games, free rides in Storyland, food, film showing of the hit movie “Frozen.” They also received gifts from SM City Cebu employees. The gift-giving activity was led by Joy Veloso, vice president for operations–Visayas, and Sherry Tuvilla, regional operations manager–Visayas.
SM City Consolacion employees treated 20 children to fun games, goodie bags filled with toys and school supplies, snacks and free rides on the mall train, carousel and pirate ship.
The activity was spearheaded by the mall manager, Engr. Van Aberia.
A similar activity was also done in all SM supermalls nationwide.
