EMPLOYEES of SM malls in Cebu held a Christmas gift-giving activity for underprivileged children last December as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
Dubbed as “ChriSMiles,” the activity was an annual project under the Employee Volunteerism Program of SM Supermalls. It encourages employees to share their blessings with the needy.
For the past years, ChriSMiles has brought smiles to thousands of Filipinos nationwide.
In SM City Cebu, 40 children of the mall’s maintenance and security personnel benefitted from the activity. Snacks were provided, and some prepared a program with games and other activities participated in by employees and the children.
A total of 16 children of agency personnel in SM Seaside City Cebu also received gifts from the mall employees. The children had the chance to watch movie trailers in SM Cinema. They were also treated to a free food at the Foodcourt.
Another 31 children of the mall’s agency personnel assigned in SM City Consolacion and SM Hypermarket Lapu-Lapu joined the gift-giving activity and fun games at the Event Centre of SM City Consolacion, as well as their favorite meals from a famous fast-food chain.
ChriSMiles also aims to make the employees’ Christmas celebration more meaningful by sharing a part of their blessings to touch the lives of others.
