THE medical dispensary inside the Training Branch of the Philippine National Police (PNP)Special Action Force (SAF)located in Fort Santo Domingo, Sta. Rosa, Laguna, has been renovated and refurbished by the SMFoundation Inc. (SMFI).
The renovated dispensary was turned over recently by SMFoundation, represented by its Executive Director for Health and Medical Programs Connie Angeles, to MoroVirgilio Lazo, chief of the SAF. Also present were SMexecutives, led by Angel Torreja, regional operations manager SMSupermalls.
The PNP SAF Training Branch is the 107th FTS Wellness Center to date, and the second PNP adopted facility. The other PNP facility adopted by SMFI is the Police National Training Institute in Canlubang, Laguna.
The dispensary services the medical needs of members of the SAF,the training branch employees and their dependents, and SAF Commando students undertaking rigorous training. At present, there are 471 SAFcommando students (classes ’70 to 73′). who, upon completion of their training, will become full-fledged SAF troopers.
