Under the SM Green Movement, the automated Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) innovate proper waste disposal through an intelligent, incentive-based approach. A first in SM Supermalls, each machine maximizes sustainable and active community waste management where 100% of the items collected are recycled to reduce plastic waste leakage into landfills and the ocean. The machines also introduce recycling as a fun activity in the mall.
