The 2009 Gawad Heneral Emilio Aguinaldo: Parangal sa Natatanging Rebolusyonaryong Caviteño was recently held at Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City. Honorable Governor Ayong S. Maliksi takes the hand of Atty. Antonio Oposa Jr, Ramon Magsaysay Awardee and Global Caviteño Awardee,  in recognition of his advocacies on environmental laws (upper left photo). The Honorable Governor stands with Dr. Teodulo M. Topacio Jr., a national scientist who receives the Dakilang Caviteño Award. Together with them is the family of Dr. Topacio (upper right photo).

The award for Lingkod-Caviteño Category is given to SM Prime Holdings Inc. –SM Cavite. The Cavite Studies Center at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas Campus, which is a repository of Cavite history, is also recognized by the Honorable Governor.
