STORYTELLING kids will make you laugh, cry and tickle your imagination, live at the SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

The finalists of the “Kuwentong Bata, Kuwentistang Bata 3: The 2014 Lampara Storytelling Competition” will be taking the stage at the grand

showcase at the Manila International Book Fair on September 21.

Out of the more than 200 contestants that joined the elimination workshops on September 5, only 10 finalists per category were chosen for the final competition.

For Category A, Grades 1 to 4, the finalists are Jazz Doon Milan (Santiago A. De Guzman Elementary School), Luis Benjamin Isidro and Emmanuel Alberto Syquia (PAREF Northfield School for Boys), Chelsea Jemimah V. Gupo (Comembo Elementary School), Wilfred Reyes Jr. (P. Gomez Elementary School), Samantha Maye Chua, (Chiang Kai Shek College), and Marxinne Pajarin (San Joaquin Elementary School).

Finalists for Category B, Grades 5 to 7 are Ma. Catrina Chan (A. Regidor Elementary School), Elfritz Angelo Peralta (Saint Joseph College of Novaliches), Mark Ashly Villarama (Maybunga Elementary School), Miguel Antonio Encarnacion (PAREF Northfield Schools for Boys), Sealtiel Anne Pael (Santiago A. De Guzman Elementary School), Jeremy Matthew M. Trinidad, (llaya Barangka Integrated School), Jasmin Cassandra Angulo (Caloocan National Science and Technology High School), Sancai delos Santos (San Joaquin Elementary School), Ericka Krystal U. Nuguid (Academe of Donna Christine), and Aila Marie Villeza (Las Pinas National High School)

The 2014 Lampara Storytelling Competition finals will feature not only talented kids but also the brilliance of our own writers and illustrators in the field of children’s literature.

Winners of the competition shall receive a trophy, certificates, gift packs and cash prizes: P15,000 (first place), P12,000 (second place) and P7,000 (third place).
