THE SM Committee on Disability Affairs recently received the Anvil Award for Excellence from the Public Relations Society in the Philippines (PRSP) for its SM Cares social responsibility programs during the 45th Anvil Awards at Edsa Shangri-La Hotel.

The committee was credited for its efforts to raise public awareness in providing a supportive environment for children and adults with disabilities. It also implemented structures and facilities that would provide easy accessibility for PWDs. SM also went an extra mile to coordinate with organizations and train its employees to provide a deeper insight and better understanding of the needs of PWDs while in the mall. Giving the PWDs convenient access and priority to everything, listening to their plaints and suggestions are some of the things the SM Committee on Disability Affairs attends to.
