DURING the AFP 77th anniversary, the out-patient department of the Camp Aguinaldo Station Hospital was inaugurated and officially turned over to Col. Eduardo M. FLores (GSC) by SM Foundation officials led by Connie Angeles, executive director for health and medical services.
A Felicidad Activity Center for children of military personnel awaiting consultation was included in the donation. This is the sixth center established for the AFP by the SM Foundation: two wards-the Heores Ward & Orthopedic Ward in the AFP Medical Center (former V.Luna Hospital); the Villamor Airbase; NAVSOG Clinic in Sangley Point, the Airforce City Hospital in Clark and the newest, the Camp Aguinaldo Station Hospital.
The Station Hospital started as a medical detachment in 1945, transformed into a medical dispensary in 1947 and in 1995, upgraded into a primary station hospital named Camp Emilio Aguinaldo Station Hospital. The hospital serves patients composed of military personnel and their dependents. Coincidentally, the Felicidad Sy Activity Center for Children is the 77th so far built by the foundation nationwide.
