September 23, 2014 — THE big pretty eyes, flushed cheeks, and pouty lips – young and trendy shoppers recently had a glimpse of the Japanese gyaru or dolly look and how to achieve at SM Beauty’s Doll Glam event held recently at The Block in SM City North EDSA. 

Doll Glam highlighted four versions of the gyaru look: Back to Cute, with its playful blonde bob haircut and a well defined eyes in full lashes; Power Pretty, with a copper hair updo, a hint of pink cheeks, and light on the eyes; Sexy Magic, with wear a red lippy, light on the eyes and brows, and a wave of natural blonde hair; and Hippie Calling, with a red-brown streak on long wavy hair, super-smoky eyes, and everything nude makeup tones. 

Fashion and lifestyle blogger Nicole Anderson hosted the event together with blogger-photographer Tricia Gosingtian and Filipina Cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao, who participated in the Doll Glam Challenge. There were free makeover sessions, nail color booths, and Doll Glam packages for the dolly like dressed-up ladies from SM Beauty.

Doll Glam participating brands included: Beautylabo, Palty, Pixy, Heroine Make, Kate Tokyo, NYX, Max Factor, BYX, Maybelline Color Show, Dolly Wink, Beautylabo, Lucido L. and Cutex. These are all available at the SM Beauty Section in selected SM Stores.
