The Fashion Week was launched Tuesday at the formal opening of the SMX Convention Center-Bacolod, with a show featuring the creations of premier Filipino fashion designer, Renee Salud, and other Bacolod talents, that will run until Sunday.
Another fashion show featuring Manila models will be held 4 p.m. today, also at SMX-Bacolod.
The USLS orchestra performance opened the fashion show Tuesday with the song, “Dandansoy”, and with “The Ruins” as backdrop. The show, titled “Gugma”, also featured the creations of Bacolod fashion designers John-John Ditching, John Rondain and Steve Gensola.
Salud’s gowns were modeled by Bb. Pilipinas Universe Jennifer Barrientos, Mutya ng Pilipinas first runner-up Emma Tiglao, and Bb. Pilipinas International Bea Rose Santiago.
The SMX Convention Center Bacolod is at the third level of the New North Wing of SM City Bacolod, boasting 8,218 square meters of event space, with a pre-function lobby, six meeting rooms, and three function rooms that can accommodate up to 4,500 people.*CGS
