MANILA, Philippines – Globe Telecom, Inc. said on Friday that it had agreed with Sy-led SM Prime Holdings, Inc. to allow customers to redeem items by converting their loyalty points.

In a statement, Globe Telecom said its ‘MyRewards MyGlobe’ and budget brand Touch Mobile’s ‘Astig Rewards’ have partnered with SM Advantage to convert points.

‘The SM Advantage Card points can then be used to redeem practically anything sold in any SM Department Store, SM Supermarket, SM Hypermarket and other SM retail establishments like Ace Hardware and Toy Kingdom ,’ the firm said.

Jay Q. Beltran, Globe Telecom’s head of loyalty and customer relationship management, noted that the company’s loyalty programs were introduced only last April.

‘Our partnership with SM Advantage gives our subscribers more ways to use their earned points and claim rewards via shopping,’ he said.
