LOCAL collegiate stars and actors team up for a charity exhibition game, dubbed “Hoops for Hope,” on Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Presented by Unilab, the event will have as beneficiaries World Vision Philippines and the Child Haus Foundation.

Headlining the charity game are teen heartthrob Daniel Padilla and college basketball stars Kiefer Ravena of Ateneo de Manila University and Jeron Teng of De La Salle University.

Set to join them are actors Marco Gumabao, John Lucas, John Manalo, Diego Loyzaga, Neil Coleta, Patrick Sugui, Young JV, Dominic Roque and Gerard Acao, as well as college players Thirdy Ravena of Ateneo, Arnold Van Opstal of La Salle, Chris Javier of University of the East, and Matthew Aquino of Adamson University.

The teams will be coached by retired Philippine Basketball Association stars Jayvee Gayoso and Vince Hizon.

World Vision is a development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities towards eliminating poverty and its causes. It strives to build thriving communities where peace and justice prevail and all can enjoy security, opportunity and happiness.

Child Haus Foundation, meanwhile, is a charity organization providing temporary shelter for indigent cancer patients, particularly children, from different parts of the country.
