The country’s most talented kids are set to shine brightly as five big stars mentor them to stand out more than ever at this year’s final leg of the country’s biggest, longest-running kiddie talent search—SM Little Stars 2016.

Now on its 10th year, SM Little Stars 2016 celebrates its grandest contest to date with more prizes and more priceless trainings and workshops by some of the entertainment industry’s established names including veteran TV and film director Mac Alejandre; singer-host and comedienne Tuesday Vargas; former child star turned versatile actor Alwyn Uytingco; actress-model and blogger Bianca King; and multi-awarded TV host, actor, singer, and composer Ogie Alcasid.

To make the journey of the participating kids even more memorable, multi-awarded actress and young star Jasmine Curtis-Smith will once again add glitter to the celebration by hosting the competition’s grand finals on August 7 (Sunday) at the SM Cinema Centerstage in SM Mall of Asia.

“What makes SM Little Stars special is that it hones the talents of kids with the proper values. Ang mga bata ay may instinct for what they like and what they enjoy. It’s about the purity of the childhood,” said Direk Mac, who considers the competition as an educational journey for its young contestants and the parents as well.

Meanwhile, Tuesday, a mother of a 14-year-old son and experienced judge of talent contests, shared her valuable mommy wisdom, “Giving them your 100% support is more important than winning the competition itself.”

The mentor-judges will be sharing their expertise through workshops that aim to help the kids hone their talents and develop their confidence further: Direk Mac on acting; Ogie on singing; Alwyn on dancing; Tuesday on hosting; and Bianca on modeling.
