QUEZON CITY, Oct. 15 (PIA) – Around ten thousand jobseekers, mostly fresh graduates, attended the Quezon City (QC) Jubilee job Fair held by the QC Public Employment Service Office last October 11.
This was in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-NCR), Quezon City Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (QC-TIPC) and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
The simultaneous job fairs were held in the following venues: Fisher Mall (UG floor activity area), SM City North EDSA (Skydome), SB Park Commonwealth, Ali Mall (Activity Area), SM Fairview Annex (Ground floor) and St. Catherine College Gym (Tandang Sora Avenue corner Quirino Highway, Novaliches).
The various companies that participated in the mega job fair offered jobseekers a chance to work in local and overseas jobs.
Local jobs offered include service crew, sales clerk/associate, cashier, office staff, accounting clerk, production workers, room attendant, housekeeping and driver.
Some companies are also in search of engineers, accountants, and call center agents.
The overseas job offered include domestic helpers, factory worker, skilled workers, housekeeping, bartenders, waiter/waitresses, bell men, and sales clerks, among others. (RJB/AKG-PIA-NCR/QC-PAISO)
