Lucena City – Officials of the city led by Mayor Ramon Talaga Jr. cited SM City Lucena for its pro-child policy which was also lauded by parents.

In line with National Chilren’s Month, SM City Lucena installed child-friendly facilities and signs in several sections of the mall to ensure children’s safety.

Lilibeth Azores, the mall’s public information officer, said the SM management conducted seminars on needs and rights of a child which was attended by tenants, employees, and parents. Azores said SM management supports the crusade against child abuse.

Among the speakers were Lourdes Ruanto, city social welfare officer, and Atty. Rhaetia Marie Abcede and Azenith Alegre.
