Mrs. Felicidad T. Sy is presented with a birthday cake by Archbishop John Forrosuelo Du and Fr.  Aaron Quilaneta, rector of Sacred Heart Seminary during turnover ceremonies of the Manuel Morgia Mascarinas Gymnasium at the Sacred Heart Seminary in Barangay Salvacion, Palo, Leyte. The Sacred Heart Seminary was completely devastated by typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in 2013.  

The new gymnasium is donated by the Felicidad T. Sy Foundation, an affiliate of the SM Foundation that takes charge of SMFI’s religious advocacy.

The Felicidad T. Sy Foundation had also extended its generous support to the reconstruction of the Palo Cathedral. At the turnover ceremony, Mrs. Sy, whose birth month falls in May, was also serenaded by the Palo Ambassador Orchestra.

Other guests were SMFI Executive Director Debbie Sy, Ms. Marissa Fernan, SVP of SM Prime and Ms. Rose Siaco of Felicidad T. Sy Foundation.
