Marilao, Bulacan — The benefit music festival, dubbed as “Northern Lights,” raised funds for the extended housing aid through the SM Cares Housing Project for the locals left destitute by super-typhoon “Yolanda” back in 2013.
“Love, Hope and Peace were the reason and inspiration behind the music festival held Saturday night at SM City Marilao attended by more or less 8,000 Bulakeños,” said Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado.
“This concert is an expression of the love and help from young Bulakeños who unite for the cause of Yolanda victims,” Alvarado said.
The governor recalled how on Nov. 27, 2013, the Bulacan contingent left for Samar to perform medical, debris clearing and relief missions.
SM Marilao mall manager Bernadette Velasco on her part, said, that there are many things that need to be done even after two years since Yolanda devastated the provinces in the Central Visayas Region.
