The local government of Marikina has teamed up with SM Department Store and the National Statistics Office to provide documents needed by residents to travel abroad or to seek local employment.

“There is no need for them to travel far to get documents from the NSO as SM Business Centers can now facilitate the application, processing, and releasing of needed copies from the civil registry,” said Mayor Del de Guzman.

Documents processed by the SM Business Centers include birth/death certificates, marriage contract, certificate of no marriage (Cenomar), and annotated and endorsed documents.

“Applicants can SM Business Centers in SM City Marikina or Savemore Market in Shoe Avenue, Barangay Sto. Niño and return after seven working days,” said De Guzman.

“These documents are very essential to all kinds of people. This is one way of servicing the people with better service and convenience.” said SM senior development program trainee Justito Yulo Jr.

The birth/death and marriage certificate costs P160 for each document, while Cenomar is P215.
