Philippine Olympian Michael Martinez will vie in the International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating on October 24 until December 14.
He will be the only Filipino and Southeast Asian to compete in this year’s prestigious Grand Prix Series.
The Grand Prix is a series of senior international figure skating competitions in the 2014 to 2015 season.
Medals will be awarded in the disciplines of men’s singles, ladies’ singles, pair skating, and ice dancing.
Skaters will earn points based on their placement at each event and the top six in each discipline will qualify to compete at the Grand Prix Final to be held in Barcelona, Spain.
