(October 11, 2013) MANILA, Philippines – From a rain-drenched parade that did not stop thousands from lining the streets of Makati City for her victory parade, the country’s first Miss World title holder Megan Young proceeded to the Mall of Asia in Pasay City, where she was further overwhelmed by the enthusiastic welcome of fans who braved typhoon Santi’s rains and wind.

At the Grand Fans’ Day at MOA, Megan tirelessly waved and shook hands, smiling all the while and thanking her countrymen for their support.

Saturday will be another exhausting day for the 23-year-old Megan, who will leave early for her hometown in Olongapo City, where she will be presented the key to the city; and later assist in relief work for hundreds of evacuees displaced by recent floods and landslides.
