GRATEFUL pupils and faculty of the Don Manuel Abella Elementary School wave their hands in front of a new school building. Schoolhouses in areas where schoolhouses are most needed. Two public schools in Naga City were recipients of two new school buildings: the Don Manuel I. Abella Elementary School in barangay Cararayan and the Tinago National High School in barangay Tinago. The school buildings come with complete classroom facilities, including blackboards, desks and toilet facilities, as well as textbooks, reference materials and other educational aids for use of the teachers.

Naga Mayor John G. Bongat; SMFI executive director for education Linda Atayde; Dr. Agenes Rubio, 0IC School Division superintendent, Naga City; Janet de Vera, assistant mall manager, SM City Naga; and Wesley Villanueva, assistant mall manager, SM City, were present during the turnover of both schoolhouses. Other guests at the Don Manuel Abella Elementary School building inauguration were Roberto Sta. Clara, PTA president; Anna Liza A. de los Martirez, school principal; Filomena Cecilio, education supervisor; Cararayan barangay captain Ricardo Buena; and Hernani Suron, Naga City school board-administrator. Meanwhile, guests at the turnover ceremonies in Tinago National High School were Benedik Warren Ubante, principal; Herman Bobis, division physical facilities coordinator, Naga City; Rey Imperial, food court manager, SM City Naga; and Tinago barangay captain Importante.

More school buildings are being constructed in an effort to help the government in addressing classroom shortage. SM Prime Holdings, through the SM Foundation, is fast-tracking the construction for turnover before the year ends.
