The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) has opened a new processing center at a popular mall in Manila, in an effort to make processing procedures easier for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

OFWs living in Manila may now visit the agency’s “Balik-Manggagawa Processing Center” at SM City-Manila to process their clearances and permits.

The agency promises faster service in its new outlet, cutting processing time from three days to less than one hour.

The processing center can accommodate 100 applicants a day.

POEA plans to open more mall outlets at key areas in the country, including Taytay, Pampanga, Batangas, Calamba in Laguna, Naga in Bicol, Cebu and Davao.
