SM Supermalls are inviting overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families who are now in the Philippines to attend the opening of the seventh and eighth Global Pinoy Center (GPC) at SM City Bacoor and SM City Rosario today and avail themselves of a Global Pinoy Card. Notable OFWs like Christian Bautista will be honored at SM City Bacoor while Isay Alvarez, Eleanor Ho, Alex Del Rosario, Efren Peñaflorida, Guilbert Urubio and Voltaire Perez will grace the stage at SM City Rosario.

Under the program, OFWs are known as Global Pinoys. The GPCs are symbolic of SM’s deep appreciation for the many OFWs who have been helping in the growth and development of the country. They also function as a lounge (a la Prestige with free drinks) for the Global Pinoy members and their beneficiaries.

Any OFW and their loved ones who visit SM’s GPC can get their own personalized Global Pinoy Card which entitles them to exclusive rewards and privileges. The Global Pinoy Card allows them exclusive entry to SM Global Pinoy Centers where they can do transactions at the BDO remittance counter and the department store’s foreign exchange or business counter. They can also use the GPC’s internet facilities for free and avail themselves of free voice or video calls through the Abot Tanaw Program. This card also enables them to enjoy P100,000 worth of discounts and perks.

Global Pinoys can now get their cards at the Global Pinoy Centers located at the SM Mall of Asia, SM City Fairview, SM City North
Edsa, SM Megamall, SM City Clark and SM City Marilao.

Other SM Malls that will open a GPC this year are SM City Cebu (Feb. 17), and SM City Iloilo and SM City Davao (Feb. 18).
