CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – In support to the many exciting events of the Department of Education (DepEd) regional office, the SM City Cauayan has hosted some of the events for the annual “Festival of Talents” here recently.
The activity of the DepEd – 2 aimed at showcasing the talents of the youth in the region like painting and song composition.
Krystal Gayle Agbulig, SM City Cauayan public relations officer, said the mall management is welcoming offices to hold activities inside as a form of social responsibility and an opportunity where the public can visit the mall.
Agbulig said that among the delegates who participated in the festival of talents particularly in painting and song composition skills are from Nueva Vizcaya Comprehensive High School, Maddela Comprehensive High School, Cagayan National High School, Lallo National High School, Isabela National High School and Dona Aurora National High School.
She said that one segment of the said festivity was dubbed “Likhawitan”, wherein competing schools perform their original song composition using traditional and improvised music instruments. It aimed to create a medium for the youth to express their thoughts and ideas as well as to cultivate their music enthusiasm.
Likhawitan and Painting contests were just some of the events of Festival of Talents 2016, other events and awarding of winners were held in Cauayan City National High School.
Meanwhile, the SM City Cauayan will also host the venue of the Queen Isabela culinary cup tomorrow and a Bambanti Making Contest as part of the celebration of the province’s Bambanti festival. (ALM/MGE/PIA-2/Isabela)
