IN A night of glamour, Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu gave recognition to their outstanding employees as they celebrated excellence. It was a fabulous event as the employees dressed to the nines for their “Oscars.”

Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu gave away 14 awards to different employees and groups who excelled in their fields and have contributed vastly to the growth of the hotel.

Rolando Babatuan, housekeeping supervisor from the housekeeping department, was awarded as Carlson Values Winner of the Year; Mario Semblante, sous chef from the food and beverage department- kitchen, won Impact Leader of the Year; and Sugar Encorporado, payroll supervisor from finance department, won the Most Admirable Blu Connect Council Member.

Three of the top sales producers for the year were also awarded by the hotel. Winnie Calangi, Miguel Gaite, and Rabby Rosa Nuevo brought in the biggest sales to the hotel.

Leaders and heads also had their own share of limelight with notable awards. The Supervisor of the Year went to Aaron Corsino, F&B supervisor from food and beverage department- service; Manager of the Year was awarded to Steven Santiago, the chief concierge; and the Department Head of the Year was received by Laurie Cardeno, the director of sales.

Harvey Chua, a guest service representative of the front office received the Rising Star of the Year award; Silvino Sobrevilla, a technician from POMEC Department, won the Heart of the House Star of the Year; and Marejun Digaum, reservations agent from revenue optimization was awarded with the Front of the House Star of the Year.

The hotel also gave out-group awards. Blu Connect Council was awarded the Most Innovative Idea of the Year, the Responsible Business Champion/ Team won the General Manager’s Award on Exemplary Leadership & Strategy Execution on Single/Multiple Projects, and the front office got the The Road to World Class Winner.

Lastly, employees who have been with Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu for five years were given recognition. They were Lorraine Dela Torre, event manager from sales and marketing; Charisse Fuentes, executive housekeeper; Marife Pepino-Yuson, sales manager from sales and marketing; and Rem Vidala Mandane, training manager from Human Resources.
