SM Supermalls recently received a Plaque of Appreciation from the Salvation Army for its continued partnership and support to the organization’s plans and programs for 12 years now. SM Supermalls gave technical assistance to the Salvation Army’s disaster-relief distribution and provided them a venue and location for the kick-off of its Red Shield Program-‘Kettling’ Fund-raising Campaign.
Through the help of SM, the Salvation Army’s Kettle stands were installed in 45 SM malls. The Salvation Army was able to raise enough funds during its Kettling campaign at SM Supermalls in order to help and donate to charities, such as the Bethany Children’s Home in Quezon City and street children shelter at Joyville’sin Tanay, Rizal.
‘We really appreciate everything you’ve done. Thank you to Mr. Hans Sy. We could not have done it without you. Thank you so much for helping us to help others,’ said Salvation Army Chief Secretary Lt. Col. Ronald Clinch.
The Salvation Army is an international movement, whose mission is to preach the gospel and to meet human needs in Jesus’s name without
discrimination. Its partnership with SM is of SM Cares Program.
