The biggest entertainment development for this year is the opening of SineAsia Theater in eight SM Cinemas – SM Megamall, SM Sta. Mesa, SM Fairview, SM Iloilo, SM Bacoor, SM Cebu, SM Manila and SM North EDSA – this March.

The grand opening of SineAsia will feature the film “Gangnam Blues,” starring Lee Min Ho, which earned US$7.6 million on its first week of exhibition abroad.

SineAsia’s opening movie also pays tribute to the iconic song “Anak” of Freddie Aguilar, as heard in the film’s official soundtrack.

SineAsia theater is a partnership between SM Lifestyle Entertainment, Inc., headed by its president Edgar C. Tejerero, and Viva International Pictures, founded by its chairman Vic Del Rosario.

Tejerero said the SineAsia theater will mainly exhibit never-before seen Asian films which have been “tagalized.”

Aside from “Gangnam Blues,” other Asian movies lined up for Sine Asia are “Inferno,” “My Love, My Bride,” “Rise of the Legend,” “SPL 2” and “From Vegas to Macau.”
