THE SM Balikbayan Center was recently launched at the Mega Atrium of SM Megamall to give overseas Filipino workers and their families easy access to a myriad of services such as preorientation seminars (PEOS), information campaign on illegal recruitment, fraud and human trafficking, and other privileges like discounts and free overseas communication. Memoranda of joint undertaking were signed by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) with SM Retail and BDO Remit Partnership and by the DOLE and POEA with SM Prime Holdings and SCMC for the use of the malls for the PEOS information campaign and other services.
