December 23, 2014 – About 80 children age 4 to 10 years old will enjoy a day of fun and food at SM City Bacolod today, with the mall’s administration officers and staff, a press release from SM said.
Employees from the mall departments are volunteering their time and resources for the ChriSMiles project to bring holiday cheer to the children of their janitorial and security workforce, who will be treated to mall rides, like the train and carousel, meals and a special mascot presentation, and receive gifts selected and wrapped by the employees themselves.
To make the activity more meaningful for the beneficiaries, the employees held an auction and garage sale of donated goods of branded apparel, bags and accessories, and other items, the press release also said.
The ChriSMiles project will be held simultaneously in all supermalls.
Meanwhile, the Bacolod City government, in cooperation with the mall, will host the “One Bacolod Christmas Special” at the main atrium of SM today, a press release from the city said.
The event will include games and surprises for the orphans of the Holy Infant Nursery Foundation, Bacolod Boys’ Home, Bacolod Girls’ Home Foundation, Capuhin Tertiary Sisters of the Holy Family, and the Kalipay Negrense Foundation.
It will also feature the performances of Ramdiz Singers, hip-hop group Bacolod Souljaz, Aire, Upstream Band, Angelico Claridad, The Voice Philippines standouts Angelica Prado, Khen Lobaton, Nena Joy Zamora, Shekinah Anzano, and Kokoi Baldo as One Bacolod ambassadors.
Commercial model Maika Mora, two-time NCAA Volleyball Most Valuable Player Jay dela Cruz, Showtime’s Season 5 Inter-town Edition champion Bacolod MassKara dancers, and other surprise guests are also expected at the celebration, the press release added.*
