ALL overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are now in the Philippines are invited by SM Supermalls to visit SM Global Pinoy Centers (SM GPCs), which are located in SM Supermalls nationwide, and get themselves a Global Pinoy Card. Glenn Ang, vice president for operations of SM Supermalls, said SM conceived of a Global Pinoy Program to applaud the sacrifice and dedication of OFWs to their families and the nation as a whole.

Ang said under this SM program, OFWs are better known as Global Pinoys and the SM Global Pinoy Centers stand as a concrete symbol of SM’s deep appreciation of the many overseas Filipinos who have been helping in the growth and development of the country.

A Global Pinoy who visits any SM GPC can get his own personalized Global Pinoy Card, which entitles him to exclusive rewards and privileges. This card allows him exclusive entry to any SM Global Pinoy Center where he can do transactions at the BDO remittance counter, the department store’s Foreign Exchange or the Business counter. He can also use the GPCs Internet facilities for free voice or video calls. His card will also enable him to enjoy P80,000 worth of discounts and privileges and will get him invited to SM promos and events.

Other SM Malls that will open a Global Pinoy Center this year are SM Clark and SM Marilao (on February 4), SM City North Edsa and SM Megamall (on February 10), SM Bacoor and SM Rosario (on February 11) and SM Cebu, SM Iloilo and SM Davao (on February 18).
