May 17, 2015 – DAVAO City is set to experience a better weekend market setup at SM Lanang Premier, designed to provide convenience and a laid-back market atmosphere.
Mary Therese Lapena-Manalo, mall manager, said that aside from assisting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in expanding and developing their business, they also wanted to elevate the weekend market concept in the city.
“Aside from helping budding entrepreneurs, we also would want to really bring Davao to a higher level of market set-up. Usually when we say market, you’ll think it’s unclean and topsy-turvy. But here in Lanang weekend market, we will introduce to the Dabawenyos a clean and convenient market similar to Manila and abroad,” Manalo said.
The newest weekend market in the city gathers SMEs to sell a wide variety of products, such as farm fresh and organic produce, ready-to-eat meals, exquisite furniture finds, unique arts and crafts, fashion accessories and goodies and a lot more.
With some 30 exhibitors, the weekend market opened last Friday at the mall’s Atrium, but is now moved to the Fountain Court at the second level of the mall. It runs until June 17 and open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Lanang weekend market is organized by the Gatch Events in partnership with SM Lanang Premier and PLDT SME Nation.
